It's another Celebrate the Occasion Challenge!!! This week, just like over at FCCB...(hint, hint, hint....hit up 2 challenges with ONE project!!! Love it when that happens!!) the challenge is RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!! Since I'm on the the DT's for BOTH blogs, I did create 2 separate projects, but you don't have to! :) This is project #2 that I created for the patriotic theme....
A 4x9" card!

Fantabulous 4th of July!!! :)
Happy Monday! It's another Challenge Me Monday over at the super AWESOME blog, Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!!! YIPPEE!! What's the theme this week, you ask? Well, just give me a minute, and I'll tell you!! ;) Well, the title of this post possibly already gave it away! :) Of course, it's the Fourth of July (must use Red, White, and Blue)!! Create a card, Layout, or project with a patriotic theme! Go for it! Then head over to FCCB, and link it up for a chance to win the FANTABULOUS prize! Can't get any better! :)
This is what I came up with this week...a shaped card!!
Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges: Independance Day Seasonal, Birthday Bash
Cardstock: Core'dinations
Martha Stewart Glitter Glue
VersaMagic Dew Drop Chalk ink in Night Sky
Signo Uniball Silver Gel Pen
If you check out the close up, you can see that I filled in the stars and outlined the heart with the Martha Stewart Glitter Glue....I LOVE that stuff!! I got it on clearance a while back (Halloween?) and it was an awesome find! :) I still love Stickles, but this is dimensional, so depending what you need it for, sometimes it's even better than Stickles!
Thanks so much for taking the time to come visit me on my little old space in the blogosphere....I've enjoyed this time, haven't you? :) If you like what you see, I'd love to get to 250 followers! Wanna help? Go ahead....click on the Google Friend Connect in the left side bar, and join the crowd!
Now that you've done that....get creating and link up to FCCB! And Happy 4th to you! :)

FCCB Design Team Day!! Wedding Wishes....
It's Design Team Day over at FCCB!!! That means another challenge for you!!! This week, we were asked to create a card, LO, or project that fits with the theme of "Wedding Wishes", and it must contain a BELL. There are many bell cuts that I could choose, but I decided to go with the double bell from Sweethearts. I also decided to go with a totally white card, with each layer only set apart by texture, inking, Pop Dots, Flocking, and Stickles. I will say that the inking bled a little into the Diamond Stickles, so the inside of the bell looks slightly gold. I did use Gold Stickles for the clappers of the bells, but the inner bells are supposed to be white with Diamond Stickles. OOPS! :) Here is my creation, mistakes and all!!
Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges: Storybook, Sweethearts
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: D'Vine Swirls, Swiss Dots
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger, in Walnut Stain
Stickles: Diamond, Gold
Flocking: Linen White by Inkssentials
Ribbon from my stash
Here's a close-up photo to show some of the dimension...it is hard to tell in the photo, but the ribbon on the bells have flocking on them! It's the first time I've used it and I LOVE IT! I will be using it more!!! :)
My card is simple, but gets to the point! I hope you enjoyed it, and that it inspired you to get creating those Wedding Wish Cards!! Link them up over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, and join in with us!! We can't wait to see what you create!

Pool Party Blog Hop for CTO!!
WOW!!! it's finally here! It's the POOL PARTY BLOG HOP with Celebrate the Occasion!!! I've been soooo excited about this hop...I can't wait to see what all the DT members have come up with, and get this....There's BLOG CANDY at every stop!!!! if you have hopped here from Linda's blog, Fancy Framework, then you are on the right track!! If you are one of my super duper regular followers, then please head to Celebrate the Occasion to start the hop there! You won't be sorry!!!
It's just starting to get hot up here in Maine (well, sometimes it's hot!! LOL!) and I can't wait for pool party season! I debated for a long time on what to make for my hop entry, and finally ended up with this 5x7 card....it's pretty versatile in a way that I originally had thought about making it as a Pool Party invitation....but then thought that you could also use it as thank you card for a hostess having the party, or even a birthday card for someone who is celebrating with a pool party! Since I only made one....and the real biggie here...I don't have a pool.....I guess I'll opt to use this a hostess thank you or a birthday card, if it comes up! I also put a fair amount of detail into the card, so to make a lot of these for invitations would be a labor of love, that's for sure!! Anyway, without further ado....my POOL PARTY CARD!!!
Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges: Everyday PaperDolls, Doodletype
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots
Paper: Stampin' Up! And DCWV
Sakura white Gelly Roll pen
Tim Holtz Distress Ink by Ranger in Walnut Stain
Pebbles Chalk
Peachy Keen Everyday Character Faces
Recollections Silver Mini Brads
Queen &Co. Orange Rhinestones
I cut a 4" paper doll using the Blackout feature from EDPD. I decided to make her a girl, but you could alter this for a boy as well. I chose a hairstyle, bathing suit, duckie float, flippers, mask, and snorkel for her and cut them at 4". Also from EDPD, I found a beach ball, which I cut 4 times at 3"; 2 in red and 2 in white. From Doodletype, I cut the P and the L at 1", in both the base-shift and the shadow-shift features. I then cut the word art 'PARTY' at 1.25" using the base-shift and shadow-shift features. The orange background is 3.5"x5" , used my Corner Chomper, and then embossed with Swiss Dots. I'm actually not sure of the dimensions of the yellow piece, because I placed my words and then cut around it and rounded the edges again with my Corner Chomper. I did ink all edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and added some white gel pen doodles. I used my totally AWESOME Peachy Keen stamps to put an adorable face on my paper doll, added some gel pen in the whites of her eye, on her lashes and cheeks, and chalked her cheeks. I layered all pieces of my pool party attendee and for those beach balls, I cut out some of the red sections and made my own layers! I added a mini brad for a little POP! And for a little added dimension to the whole card, I pop-dotted the 2 beach balls and the swimmer girl, and added some BLING to the corners of the word art!
Here are a couple of close up pics....
And now for the good stuff, right?!?! The BLOG CANDY!!!! How appropriate that I am giving away POOL PARTY embellishments!! I have for you....
A pack of Jolee's Beach Ball Dimensional stickers
A pack of K&Company Citronella Dimensional stickers
A pack of K&Company Citronella Die-cuts
