Using PageMaps...

Sandee is over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog today with another Scrappin' Saturday! Today she is featuring the super awesome website called PageMaps. PageMaps is a site to find sketches for layouts of all sizes, cards, half pages, tags, etc! This place is amazing!! You will have to check it out when you are looking for inspiration! Anyway, Sandee asked some of the DT members to help her out by showcasing a sketch from over at PageMaps. I chose this sketch:

This is an 8x8 layout sketch that I rotated and added my own twists to come up with the following LO.

Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges: Storybook, Nursery Rhymes, Cindy Loo, GBS
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! and Bliss stack from Me & My BIG ideas
White Sakura Gelly Roll Pen
Queen & Co. Rhinestones

I used my Gypsy to weld border cuts from Cindy Loo, along with circles from George and Basic Shapes to create the edging along the bottom. I only have one border punch, so I have to be creative!! Gotta love my Gypsy!!!

I am also entering this LO into the Getting Scrappy Challenge over at Amanda's Crafts and More. The theme was to "Get Sketchy" and create a LO from any sketch!

Thanks for looking! Head on over to FCCB to see what Sandee and some of the other DT members have done with PageMaps!

Cooking with Cricut--Sweet Shop Blog Hop Entry

I had a blast today, going through Cooking with Cricut's Sweet Shop Blog Hop! Those ladies I visited today were sooooo super talented! Nice Job, Ladies!!

There were a few ways that we could join in on the hop! The first was to collect letters along the hop and enter a secret phrase (did that!!), comment on the blog posts (did that, too!!), or enter a "sweet" project (that's what I'm doing here!)!!

This is the card that I made....a SWEET thank you card that I'm sure I will use at some point down the road!!

Bling!!

This scalloped-shaped birthday card was made with the Cindy Loo and Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridges. I welded 2 scalloped 'shadows' together using my Gypsy, and cut the adorable doily scene with the deer and squirrel. I wanted to add some color and dimension, so I used my Gypsy to size and match up the deer and squirrel individual images with the doily scene, cut them in shades of blue and purple, and pop-dotted them over the top of their silhouette images on the doily scene. I added some BLING (gotta love BLING!) to the trees in the form of clear, silver-backed 2mm rhinestones by Nicole. (I'm thinkin' I need an i-Rock tool!!) I added a white gel pen dot to each critter for a twinkle in their eye.

The inside sentiment was cut from OUAP, and I used the same colors as I did for the deer, as well as adding more BLING to tie it all together! This pretty card was given to my MIL for her birthday.

Welcome Baby!! Shaped Card

I have a friend's baby shower to go to tomorrow....so I took out my new Gypsy and started creating! My hubby had recently bought me the Cricut Lite "Sugar and Spice" and the first cartridge I ever bought was "New Arrival" as I was preggo myself in 2007, when I got my first baby bug!! I combined these 2 cartridges with the "welcome" sentiment from Cindy Loo, shapes from Accent Essentials and Mini Monograms, and VOILA! A beautiful baby card!!

Ingredients:
Cricut Cartridges--New Arrival, Sugar and Spice, Accent Essentials, Mini Monograms, Cindy Loo
Stampin' UP! Cardstock
My Mind's Eye "Bliss" Patterned Paper
VersaMark Dew Drop Ink in Hydrangea Purple
Stickles
Stock Ribbon
Glossy Accents
Googly eyes
Pop Dots
Clear Rhinestone
White Gelly Roll Pen for Doodlin' ;)
