Crafty Christmas gifts

I made these magnets from the Preserves Cricut Cartridge. I packaged them up and put them in some baskets that I made for several family members for Christmas. They were accompanied by the decoupaged Chip Clips, pictured below, several Chocolate treats that I made, Chocolate covered marshmallows, White Chocolate Popcorn, and Handmade Sugar Scrub.

More Halloween Goodies

I know that Halloween is over....long over. The only remnants of Halloween are the few Pixie Stix that are left in my daughter's orange pumpkin bucket. Seems no one wants to eat those, with the exception of my naughty kitten, who loves to dig them out of the bucket and bat them around the kitchen floor. But even though Halloween is over, I still have another Halloween post for you. And then I'll move on...I promise. These $1 orange buckets from JoAnn's cleaned up nicely with a few decorations from Mini Monsters and Happy Hauntings. Assorted ribbons trim the bucket handles. Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo border punch decorate the edges.

I also made up some of the 3D coffins from Happy Hauntings, and threw a die-cut on each of them to dress them up. A real quick Halloween treat box for my nieces and nephew!

Halloween Treat Bags!

Here are some Halloween Treat Bags that I made for my daughter's daycare friends. We are trick or treating with her on Halloween, and live in the country to boot, so we don't get any trick or treaters at our own house....so I have to feed my creative hunger some other way, and this is it!! "Ingredients" are under the pictures...

(I apologize for the lighting in the pictures, I took them at night...)

Treat Bag Ingredients:

***White Paper lunch bags
***DCWV Midnight Spell Cardstock Stack
***K&Company Halloween Specialty paper stack
***Stampin'Up! Cardstock
***3-5" characters cut from Cricut Mini Monsters and Happy Hauntings Cartridges
***1.5" 'Trick or Treat' saying cut from Cricut Happy Hauntings Cartridge
***White gel pen
***Assorted Stickles
***Glossy Accents
***Peachy Keen Stamps 'Everyday Character Assortment' faces
***Ribbon from my stash

Plenty of Candy, Teddy Grahams, and treat size Play-doh fill the bags!

Toy Story Birthday!!

My daughter's 3rd birthday had a Toy Story theme, and I was so happy that the Cricut cartridge came out in time to celebrate!! I made these characters.....

and turned them into this centerpiece for the table!

I tried my hand at a 3-D Buzz Lightyear that came off the cartridge as well, but it didn't come out as good as I had hoped. OH well!

I also made her a Buzz Lightyear cake, not with the Cricut Cake, but just the good old "Wilton Shaped Pan" style.

What a great day it was...lots of memories! And the centerpiece makes a great room decoration now!!

Wonder Pets Birthday Cake!!

When my daughter turned 1, I made my first decorative birthday cake....and it surprisingly came out really cool! Since then, I have made cakes for my daughter's birthdays, and my BFF's kiddos. I have stuck with the Wilton shaped pan-type cakes, until this year, when my BFF's daughter wanted a "Wonder Pets" cake. Since they don't have a shaped pan for that....I had to come up with something myself. After a little googling...this is my interpretation... Hope you like it!!

Happy 2nd Birthday!!

I made this quick, cute card for my best friend's daughter on her birthday....I used the Create A Critter and Don Juan Cricut cartridges, Stampin' Up! cardstock, a Fiskars border punch, and a Prima flower to dress it up. My white gel pen also adds a little something....Thanks for looking!!

I'm baaaaack!!!!

So, I realize that I have been gone from the blogosphere for a little while. It isn't because I haven't been crafting....it's unfortunately been due to my crafting on the fly, and having to give my cards away the second I make them....which means no pictures. But, this week, I had a day off, and I have several occasions coming up that I have to make cards for, so I got to work!! I'm going to post the 3 cards seperately over the next several days, to make up for my lack of posts recently!!! Enjoy! I'd love to hear what you think...

I made this card for my bother-in-law and sister-in-law for their 1st anniversary.

My Recipe:
Printed Paper--My Mind's Eye
Cardstock--Stampin' Up!
Cricut Cartridge--Give A Hoot
Lime Green Stickles
White Gelly Roll pen

Batman, the Joker, and a skunk!!

So, I realize that it's been a while since I've posted. Of course that doesn't mean that I haven't been crafting...I've just been slacking on the picture taking...which results in no posts. Ooops. I apologize. I only hope to do a little better in the future.
May is a busy month for birthdays in my family. I decided to try my hand at the Batman and Joker 3D figures from the Brave and the Bold Cricut cartridge, and turn them into gift card holders for my 2 Brother-in-laws, who are 10 year old boys at heart. Here's my take!!

My sister-in-law and I also share the same birthday in May and I made this card for her, with the inside reading "Here's to hoping your birthday doesn't STINK..." I used the Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge for the skunk and the flower stem, some Prima flowers, and stickles to add a little bling. Hope you like it as much as she did!!

MPS Color Challenge

One of my the Cricut-related blogs that I visit daily (www.mypinkstamper.com) hosted a challenge today...I couldn't resist! We had to create something that used the colors of pink, green, and black....and we would be entered to win the Cricut Create-a-Critter cartridge! How cool! I already had to make a card for my best friend, wishing her some good luck this week. She is one of 5 semi-finalists for the 2011 State of Maine Teacher of the Year, and she has a HUGE day this Thursday, as the selection committee is visiting her school for the day to interview kids, fellow teachers, and her students, as well as observing her!! She needs all the well wishes she can get! I plan on giving her this card, as she is such a ROCK STAR! I used the Cricut Once Upon a Princess cartridge....can't get enough of this one lately! Hope you like it!!

Easter Princesses...

I had gotten the Cricut Once Upon a Princess cartridge for Valentine's Day from my wonderful hubby, and I hadn't played with it at all! So, with Easter coming up, I thought it might be the perfect opportunity to try a few cuts. I made these Princess crowns and wands for my daughter and 2 of my nieces. Of course, with playing around like they were, the wands didn't last long, but the crowns stood up pretty well, and the 2 younger girls (with the purple crowns) wore them all morning long. They are pretty simple to do, and you could embellish them with some bling as well, which I did before I gave them to the girls...but after I took the pictures...oops!!
Anyway, I think I'm going to have some more fun with this cartridge soon! It's got some really great cuts!!

Matryoshka Nesting Dolls!!!

I made the super cute Matryoshka Dolls from the Cricut cartridge, Paisley, into nesting boxes that will go on a shelf in my daughter's room. I have decorated her room completely in cuts and crafts inspired by the Paisley cartridge, and it has turned out better than I could picture in my head!! I have an earlier post that shows the details of that...go ahead and check it out!
