It's another
Challenge Me Monday over at the
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!! Doesn't that just make you smile?? It does me!! This week, the Design Team was asked to create something using a triangle and a rectangle. I'm not so good at paper piecing random shapes to create an object that actually looks like something...so I put the shapes into my background and used them to make a 9x4 Birthday card for my SIL, since her birthday is coming up at the end of the month. Ironically, the same day as mine!! :)
I used several cartridges for this card...take a look!
I used
George and Basic Shapes and my
Gypsy to create a rectangle border, and fit 4 triangles into the inside.
I cut another rectangle the same size as the border to create a background that was a different color than the card itself. I then used
Simply Sweet, Sweet Treats, and
Birthday Bash to cut out birthday-themed objects to dress up the triangles. Add a little bling in the form of rhinestones...(which I'm still gluing on because I still haven't purchased an iRock....), a piece of ribbon, and voila! A super cute birthday card for the special person in your life!
